UP is a fine film.

very yay
I cried like a baby in the first five minutes of the movie. Like, seriously trying not to sob. SO SWEET AND SAD. And they kept punching me in the guts throughout the film.

Then, twenty minutes later, I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe. THE DOGS. OH GOD, THE DOGS.

And the 3D...holy hell. It was easily the most impressive digital 3D animation I've ever seen.

GO SEE THIS MOVIE. It is predictable and smarmy, and you will love every moment of it anyway.

And thank me late..SQUIRREL!

This is exactly how I felt - this wasn't a kids cartoon, this was a fine example of a movie that just happened to be beautifully animated. I cried at least 4 times, as did my boyfriend. I need to see this again actually.

Some parts of it, I actually thought were too scary for little kids. And they wouldn't appreciate the AMAZING love story that it was.

Enough stuff thrown in for kids, but not really for them. Not at all.

Jon has been wanting to see it too. I think we'll go next week after payday. :)

Thanks for the review! I wondered if it was any good.

Is it different coloured lenses 3D?

No, it's polarized 3D, so it's just a bit blurry if you don't wear the glasses.

Did you try closing one eye to see how that looked? I can't cope with blurry, it'll give me a headache. Can't usually see 3D movies cos of only having the one eye.

I confess that I didn't try that. Hm. I wonder how that would work.

You'll be able to at least see the picture somewhat clearly, if not in 3D. The picture looks scrambled without the glasses.

Or you can see it in standard film format if, like me, you don't care for 3D films. There's something about putting glasses on over my glasses that just spell fun.
