Alice and Kev, a social experiment.
This is an experiment in playing a homeless family in The Sims 3. I created two Sims, moved them in to a place made to look like an abandoned park, removed all of their remaining money, and then attempted to help them survive without taking any job promotions or easy cash routes. It’s based on the old ‘poverty challenge’ idea from The Sims 2, but it turned out to be a lot more interesting with The Sims 3’s living neighborhood features.
This blog nearly made me cry. Twice.

1) To build wacky architectural nightmares and Escherian conundrums
2) To play unique (and often ethically questionable) experiments on the people (sometimes animals).
I think this blog is fantastic and and it is inspiring me to pick up Sims3..
Also the bit about the teddy bear when she was a kid, and again when the teddy could no longer comfort here almost made me cry. Fortunately Kev's exploits generally amuse me and so I felt better. But that poor teddy..
I HAVE NEVER FELT SO SORRY FOR A FAKE PERSON.
My favorite was when the homeless sim would try to bath on the hot tun because it was accessible outdoors and one time he caught the hot tub on fire (somehow).
