It's
dreamwalker13's birthday today. Go say hi. She's awesome.

I just found out that safety pins and I have the same birthday.
They're 126 years older than I am. I guess they needed a head start to awesomeness.

She's awesome, and I want to do a proper birthday post for her, but I just don't know her well enough yet.
So this isn't her proper birthday post.
Know, however, that she was the first one to send me back a Happy Box, which completely fixed my horrible day.
Know also that she went with J and Afadoven last year to the Vampire Masquerade Ball and she looked STUNNING.
Know that she sent us a photo from said VMB and she has the coolest stationery.
Know also that I totally stole an icon from her because it was awesome. It's the one I've used for this post.
Know that I really want to know her better, because seriously, she's good people, and living in a different city should not be an obstacle to a good friendship.
Know that next year, I will write her a proper one of these.
I'd like to know her a lot better. You should, too. She's really a coupla shades of rad.
Happy birthday,
pulzella_gaia!

Happy birthday,

OK. I could have SWORN I told you about this, but I've checked the archives. Nothing. Not even late.
So. There's this guy.
That's how it always begins, isn't it? There's suddenly just this person in your life, and then a year later, you just assume they've always been there. And if they ever disappear for any period of time, there's this big THEM-shaped hole in your life until you reconnect.
I don't remember the exact moment we met. There had to have been one. It's just like, I turned around and there was this guy there, and I was all, oh hey, where've you been? And he was all, who are you? He just sort of ...insinuated himself into my life, and there was no complaints from me at all. Usually I sort of hold someone at arm's length awhile before I decide if I am going to love them or not.
We tried gaming together, and the first couple of times, it failed miserably - the first game we were in together just failed to happen, and the second time, my character just had an intense distrust of his character, and there was no getting around that. Then we played some more, and had a great time. Then he ran some games, and played in some more with me, and though those never went anywhere either, I enjoyed hanging out with him thoroughly. Which is saying something; usually when I am not enjoying a game, I am not enjoying any aspect of it, even the hangouts. He made it worth my time, every time.
He has the most infectious laugh of anyone I've ever met. Seriously. You get him going, and the whole restaurant will know he found something funny. I absolutely ADORE that about him. Typically in a public setting, I'm a little embarrassed if my tablemates are making a fuss. With him, that's fine. Because of that laugh. THAT LAUGH.
He's SUCH a comics nerd. Really. We never really geeked out together over that, because he's more of a DC nerd and I was a Marvel nerd, but he has a fierce, fierce love of comic nerddom. This picture is for him:

For him I tracked down a gratuitous boob image.
I guess you've noticed by now that he brings out a lot of behaviors and attitudes in me that no one else can. He was the first person I ever kissed hello as a matter of course, because that's just how you say hello to him - he makes me feel fabulously girly when he does that. He answers the phone when I call, "Hey, doll." I LOVE THAT. LOVE LOVE LOVE. From anyone else, I don't think I would, but from him? It's a special girly thrill.
Today is his birthday. I love him so very, very much.
Happy birthday,
wisepiscean.
*mwuah*, darling.
